Some of the greatest "Hair" Bands from the 80's in my humble opinion are...
White Snake Motley Crue Dokken Def Leppard...
So many more.
Who are your favs?
As Michael Damien says...ROCK ON (anyone remember that froot loop? I opened up for him way back when)

It's not technically a hair band, but Alice Cooper's "Poison" has that hair sound... I LOVE that song.
Also Cinderella's "Nobody's Fool" is awesome.

I feel the need to clarify, my choices here should in no way imply that these are my favorite bands...I enjoy them, but really bands like Van Halen, Journey, Boston, April Wine, Styx are more my cup of tea. And althought they were all very successful in the '80's they do not fall into "hair band" status. Just to clear things up.... I was starting to feel the guilt of actually posting Dokken as a fave and couldn't sleep last night!!!

Yes, splent- cinderella was a great Hair Band. Very tough band to try to cover vocally. Alice Cooper is an interesting choice, and I think that just the fact that Kip Winger was his bass player at that time, qualifies him for hair band

Ohhh Kiki...I was at that concert when Sebatian blew his snot all over the front row...yes I was in the front row. Luckily off to the side rather than front and center.
I wish I would have kept my shirt...tjey didn't have ebay back then. I could probably retire today.
Never in the right place at the right time.

Smooth down in ya.. was a decent song.. maybe it was thier band name that rubbed me the wrong way.. who knows.. I have been also been know to like Winger.. and Whitesnake.. two bands everyone is afraid to admit to liking..

another band from the 80's that I totally love...I don't know if they would be considered a hair band or not... NightRanger!!!! I still love them as much as I did back in their heyday.

I love Night Ranger.. I dont know how to classify them. I dont really consider them a hair band.. they really didnt have the hair sprayed hair or makeup like a true hair band had.. same with Def Leppard.. I never classified as them as a hair band.. but they came from the era.. the year Pyromania came out Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister hit.. and Motley came out with Shout at the Devil.. but that was all still metal to me.. but that was most likely the birth of it all..
