What do you miss most about that period of time?
For me, it was just awesome for music and for being a teenager. When you think about it, some of the best most influential music all came out within a few months of each other. I remember when Pyromania, Slippery when Wet, Theatre of Pain, Blackout all came out very close together. Music was at an all time high right then, so much to choose from. With the way the music industry is now, I don't see something like that ever happening again. All the industry tries to create now is hits, not complete cd's, that have great music all the way through. You buy something now, and you get 2 maybe 3 good songs. There will never be a band that has the staying power of Leppard, Jovi, Motley Crue. These guys can still sell-out sheds and arena's on tour for nestalgia tours. Most of, not all of todays bands have a hard time selling out medium sized venues. The tour is where most bands are supposed to make their money, record companies make the most off of the sales. Where is the whole thing headed?

I'm not sure if I would say I miss this...but I do have fond memories of fringe leather jackets, white ankle high boots with metal appliques and your pants tucked in, hair that was higher than it was long...not only did your hair not move because it was shellacked with Aqua-helmet...it was virtually water proof! and Men that wore as much (sometimes more) make-up than the women.
Ohhh those were the days.

I miss when $1.00 beer and $2.50 mixers were the REGULAR price.
A deal was $0.50 tappers and $1.50 mixers (not rail either)
